Lauren Wegner Wellness

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 11, 2026

This policy explains what information Lauren Wegner LLC, doing business as Lauren Wegner Wellness ("we," "us," or "I"), collects when you visit laurenwegner.com or work with us, how it is used, and what control you have over it.

It is written to describe our actual practices. If something here doesn't match your experience, please tell us at [email protected].

The short version

We collect what you give us through our forms and what your browser reports automatically. We use it to respond to you, deliver services, and send you things you asked for. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you work with us, we may handle detailed health information — that is treated as confidential and shared only where you direct us or the law requires.

  14. How to contact us

1. Information you give us

You choose whether to give us any of this. Most of the site can be read without providing anything.

Contact and enquiry information

When you complete an application, book a consultation, request a guide, or email us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and anything else you choose to write.

Health information

Our application and intake forms ask about your symptoms, health history, diagnoses, medications, supplements, cycle, sleep, stress, and lifestyle. If you become a client, we also receive and review functional lab results ordered on your behalf.

Health information is treated as sensitive personal information under California law. We ask only for what is relevant to the work, and you are never obligated to answer any particular question.

Payment information

Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. Your full card number is submitted directly to that processor and is not stored by us. We receive confirmation of payment, the last four digits, and billing details.

Anything else you send

Messages, documents, photographs, or files you send us in the course of working together.

2. Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, limited technical information is recorded:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, time on page, and the site or link that referred you
  • Date and time of your visit

This is collected by our website platform, HighLevel, and by Cloudflare, which provides content delivery and basic performance analytics.

3. Cookies and similar technology

Our site uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries. We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels.

WhatPurpose

Browser storage

CloudflareContent delivery, security, and aggregate performance measurement.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop forms on this site from working correctly.

What we do not use

As of the date above, this site does not run a Meta or Facebook pixel, Google Analytics, TikTok pixel, or any third-party advertising or session-recording tool. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.

4. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and schedule a consultation
  • To review your application and decide whether the program is a fit
  • To deliver coaching services, build your protocol, and adjust it over time
  • To order and interpret functional lab testing you have agreed to
  • To send you resources, guides, or the webinar you requested
  • To send program updates, scheduling reminders, and administrative messages
  • To send marketing emails, where you have opted in
  • To process payments and keep financial records
  • To maintain and improve the website
  • To comply with legal, tax, and professional obligations

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only in these circumstances:

Service providers who work on our behalf

  • HighLevel — website hosting, forms, CRM, scheduling, email and SMS delivery
  • Cloudflare — content delivery, security, and performance analytics
  • Our payment processor — billing and payment handling
  • Laboratory companies — when you have agreed to testing, the information needed to order your kit and return your results

These providers may use your information only to perform services for us.

With your direction

If you ask us to share information with your physician or another practitioner, we will.

Professional advisors

Our accountant, attorney, or insurer, where reasonably required.

Legal requirements

Where we are required to disclose by law, subpoena, or court order, or where disclosure is necessary to protect someone's safety.

Business transfer

If the business is sold or reorganised, information may transfer as part of that transaction. You would be notified.

6. Health information and HIPAA

We want to be precise about this, because it is widely misunderstood.

HIPAA generally applies to health plans, healthcare clearinghouses, and healthcare providers who transmit health information electronically in connection with insurance claims. Lauren Wegner Wellness is a health coaching and functional nutrition practice. We do not bill insurance and do not submit claims, so this practice is generally not a HIPAA covered entity, and the information you share with us is generally not protected health information under HIPAA.

That does not mean it is treated casually. We handle your health information as confidential, limit access to it, share it only as described in this policy, and apply the same discretion you would expect in any clinical setting.

Lauren Wegner is a licensed Registered Nurse. Where she provides nursing care in a licensed healthcare setting, that care is governed by that employer's HIPAA obligations and privacy practices, entirely separate from this business.

7. Email and text messages

We send email and, where you have provided a mobile number and consented, text messages.

  • Transactional messages — appointment confirmations, lab logistics, program communications — are part of the service you signed up for.
  • Marketing messages are sent only where you opted in. Every one includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Text messages: reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing anything.

Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages while you are an active client.

8. How long we keep information

  • Enquiries that don't become clients: up to two years, then deleted
  • Client records, including health information and lab results: retained for at least seven years after the working relationship ends, consistent with professional record-keeping practice
  • Financial and tax records: as required by law, generally seven years
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we don't contact you again

9. Security

We use reputable providers, restrict who can access client records, and use access controls on the systems that hold your information.

We will not tell you your information is perfectly safe, because no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by law.

Please do not send sensitive health information by ordinary email if you would prefer it stay in our secure forms — we are happy to send you a form link instead.

10. Your privacy rights

If you live in California

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected, where it came from, why, and who we shared it with
  • Access a copy of that information
  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal and record-keeping exceptions
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the service
  • Opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — but the right exists.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny service, change pricing, or reduce quality because you exercised a privacy right.

If you live in another US state with a privacy law

Residents of states including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Montana have broadly similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their information, and to appeal a refused request. We extend the same process to everyone.

If you are in the UK or European Economic Area

You may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection under the UK GDPR or EU GDPR. Note that our services are directed to people in the United States, and information is stored and processed in the United States.

How to make a request

Email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy Request." Tell us what you would like us to do. We may need to verify your identity before acting, which usually means confirming details we already hold. We will respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need more time.

11. Children

This site and our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Links to other sites

We link to third-party websites, including laboratory portals, scheduling tools, and social media. Once you leave our site, this policy no longer applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other organizations, and we'd encourage you to read their policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business or the law changes. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. If we make a material change — for instance, adding advertising tracking — we will make that clear rather than quietly editing the page.
